2. The result of C.B.S.E. Examination 2016 of Class X was 100%. A total of 86 students got 10 CGPA, which is highest in the city. 08 students were awarded with Certificate of Excellence under 0.1% Merit by the CBSE.
3. The result of Home Examination of Class VI to XI was 82.57%. Saksham Singh of Class XI became the School Topper by securing 93.7% marks. As per the guidelines of CBSE, the school has adopted CCE pattern from students in place of marks. 6. 50 students of the School were awarded with scholarships (through cheques), certificates, medals, bags, books etc. for their commendable performance in various competitions organized by Science Olympiad foundation (SOF). 07 teachers of the School were also awarded with Commendation Certificates for their cooperation in conducting the competitions. Smt. Anita Meshram (PGT-Biology) is the School Coordinator of SOF.
7. The following 09 students of our School got places in the Shishir Memorial Mathegenius Examination – 2016 organized by Dr. Amritlal Ishrat Memorial Sunbeam School (DALIMSS) in different classes –

8. Ankit Kumar and Akash Kumar, both form class XII secured Second position in Math-e-Magic Competition, in Inter School Fest-Fenestra-2016 organized by DPS, Varanasi. 18 students were awarded with participation certificates.

12. Drawing and Poetry Recitation Competitions were organized on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti in the School. The winners were felicitated at Malaviya Bhawan by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor. Following is the list of students:

13. Inspire Internship Science Camp of 05 days was organized in BHU by the Department of A.H. and Dairy under the sponsorship of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India from 22-10-2016 to 26-10-2016. 24 students from class XI, who had got 10 CGPA in Class X, participated and enriched their knowledge by various activities and lectures by eminent scholars of the country.
14. Ravi Shankar Choubey of Class XII-F secured second position and was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 11000/- in the 12th Akhil Bharatiya Shalaka Pariksha – 2016 organized by Sanskrit Bharati conducted under the guidance of Prof. G. B. Mishra, Head, Department of Sanskrit, BHU. On 11-12-2016. In the competition, the candidate is required to memorize the entire Text Book of Sanskrit of class X.
15. 19 Meritorious students of the School were awarded with Laptop in a function organized at Govt. Queens College, Varanasi for their excellent performance in Board Examinations of class X and XII of 2015 and 2016 under CM Laptop Distribution Scheme by the DIOS, Varanasi.
16. Anikesh Kumar Verma (XII) got first prize in the Drawing Competition in Anand Mela organized by Bang Darshan.
17. Following students of the school got places and prizes in various competitions organized in Malaviya Bhawan on the occasion of Malaviya Jayanti -2016 :

18. The Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) organized the National Standard Examination in the subjects of Biology, Astronomy and Junior Science Olympiad under the guidance of Sr. Sandeep Songara (PGT-Biology) of the School. Out of 300 students at International level the following two students got positions and added pride to the school’s glory:

19. Our School has been organizing City Level Inter School Ramajujan Memorial Mathematics Contest for last 28 years. In 2016, about 3800 students from around 40 schools of the city participated in this prestigious competition. 25 students of our school got positions and scholarships out of 65 scholarships. This is a matter of great pride for the school. Sri Ashutosh Kumar Prajapati (PGT-Mathematics) is the co-ordinator of this competition.
20. Hindi Pakhwada was organized in the School from 01-09-2016 to 14-09-2016. Various activities and competitions were organized related with Rajbhasha Hindi. Winner and Teachers involved were awarded in the closing Ceremony. Dr. Soni Swaroop (PGT-Hindi) was the Co-Ordinator.
21. The School received Chal Vaijanti Puraskar as first Prize for its commendable performance in working in Hindi language at the University level. The Acting Principal, Dr. G. Narasimhulu, received the Award from the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor at a function in K. N. Uduppa Auditorium, BHU on 28-10-2016.
22. Shubham Pandey (XII-B2) got Second Prize in poetry Recitation Competition organized by DALIMSS, Rohania, Varanasi.

24. A project on environment and Disaster Risk Reduction is being run jointly by Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development (IESD), BHU and SEEDS Asia, Kyoto, Japan. Our School has been selected as one of the 5 Climate Schools in the city. An Automatic Weather Station (AWS) and an Air Sampler Machine has been installed in the School. Dr. S. B. Pandey (PGT-Geography), Sri M.C. Jaiswal (PGT-Chemistry) and Sri R. K. Verma (PGT-Agriculture) of School along with students participated in various workshops organized in the school as well as at various other palces. News and articles of Prahari Reporters (Students) of our School has been published.
Sports
1. Vijay Kumar of our School got Gold Medal in State Karate Championship – 2016 held at kushinagar, organized by The Sports Shotoken Karate Do Association, UP.
2. Following students of the school secured positions in Inter School Athletics Meet (CBSE Cluster V) held at Allahabad –

2. Saurabh Singh Yadav (XI) – 3000M – Bronze Medal
3. Brijesh Yadav (X) – 200M – Silver Medal
4. Harshit Tiwari (IX-A) got Bronze Medal in 100M and 50M Breast Stroke Competition in CBSE Zonal Swomming Competition-2016 held at Ranchi, Jharkhand.
NCC
1. Cadet Prabhat Kumar (X-E) of 22 JD TP got second Prize in G.K. Quiz Competition organized during an NCC camp. Aryan Chaturvedi (X-F) got Silver Medal in G.K. Competition and Gold Medal in speech and Debate Competition. Cadet Rahul Kumar (IX-D) 22 JD TP got Gold Medal in Dance competition in CATC.
2. Sri Sanjay Kumar Keshari (PGT-Biology) and ANO, 3/89 1PL SD Army NCC attended the Training Course held at OTA, Nagpur from 14-12-2015 to 15-03-2016. He got ‘A’ Grade in the training and was conferred with Lieutenant Rank.
3. Sri Sanjay Kumar Keshari (PGT-Biology) attended a Training workshop on Disaster Response Training Module organized by 11 NDRF, Varanasi.
4. Sri Sanjay Kumar Keshari (PGT-Biology) represented the School and activity participated in District Level National Child Science Congress on 09-11-2016.
Other Activities
1. Sri Ravikant Jha and Sri Tulsikant Jha from Aero Modeling Club, Varanasi made aware to our students regarding Air Craft Manufacturing, Aviation, Control, Safety and Security etc in the Prayer Assembly on 05-08-2016.
2. A Space scientist from Moscow (Russia) delivered a meaningful and interesting lecture on Mathematics and Science with helps of Projector on 06-08-2016 in Sarga Hall of the School. He enriched the knowledge of our students regarding recent researches in the field of science and Mathematics. With the help of Projector he also told about mathematical prepositions of Sriniwas Ramajujan.
3. 10 women members under the leadership of Sri Manoj Gupta from Swachhata Mahakranti Abhiyan of Vishwashanti Mahasangha organized an Oath Taking Ceremony for the students on cleanliness and sanitation and encouraged the students to become ‘Swachha Sipahi.’
4. Student were encouraged and made aware by Sri Jamuna Shukla of ‘Save Dolfin Save Ganga Drive’ and ‘Namami Gange’ on 23-11-2016 for active participation in the movement.
5. Dr. Seema Singh (PGT-Political Science) delivered a lecture on the occasion of Consitution Day (26-11-2016) and inspired the students for giving respect to our Constitution and to follow it in true spirit. Various competitions such as essay writing, drawing, and quiz were organized on the occasion.
6. Shrimad Bhagwat Gita Path, Antyakshari and Quiz Competition were organized on the occasion of Gita Jayanti. Dr. O.P.Rai former Principal of our School gave prizes to the winners.
7. Sri Ram Dayal Sngh (TGT-Geography) represented the school and participated in Teacher Training workshop on 29th and 30th Nov.2016 organized by Centre for Environment Education under Clean Ganga Programme.
8. 5 students and Smt. Snehlata Singh (PGT-Chemistry) participated in Video Conferencing Programme of His Excellency, the President of India in Swantrata Bhawan, BHU on the topic ‘Building a Humane and Happy Society.’
Honours/Awards
1. On the eve of Teachers Day on 04-09-2016, Smt. Anita Meshram (PGT-Biology) was awaded with ‘Maitry Bhawan Vishishta Sikshak Samman’ by Inter Religion Dialogue Centre and Institute for the Study of Religion.
2. Our School Principal Dr. Neeru Wahal was awarded with ‘Kashi Gaurav Alankaran’ by the Society for Social Action and Research (SSAR) in a function at Parakar Bhawan, Varanasi for the valuable Contribution in the field of Education.
3. Vikram Kumar Class X was Awarded with laptop for getting First in Talent Search Exam organized by SSAR, Sansthan, Varanasi.
Educational Tour
1. 27 students of XII (Arts) under the guidance of Smt. Soni Kumari (PGT-History), Dr. Soni Swaroop (PGT-Hindi) and Sri Satyanarayan (PGT-Physical Education) went on educational tour to Chunar Fort (Mirzapur, UP).
Campus Development and Construction
Various works related to infrastructure were done in the school for which the credit goes to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor :
1. Renovation of Chemistry Lab has been completed Installation of LPG Connection is in progress.
2. In order to protect the School campus, wire fencing was done on the boundary wall.
3. Four CCTV cameras have been installed in the School campus.
4. Fencing of garden has been completed in Chhoti Building of the School.
5. Renovation of the ceiling of Sarga Hall has been done. A Female lavatory has also been constructed.
6. A water purifier cum cooler has been installed by the students of 1986 Batch of Class XII.
